You are essential to the success of our schools, and we appreciate you more than words can say! We may have posted this at 6:30 this morning, but it’s worth noting that most of our bus drivers were already out on the road by then — making sure every student gets to school safely and on time. Their role in the success of our school district truly cannot be overstated. ♻️🎨 Congratulations to our E-Waste Art Contest Winners! 🎨♻️ We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the E-Waste Art Contest, where creativity met sustainability in the most amazing way! 🏆 Grand Prize Winner: Shian McJunkin with her breathtaking piece, “Star of the Sea” — a jellyfish crafted from the discarded parts of an old Roku TV! Her stunning creation earned her a $100 prize, sponsored by Optimum, and is now proudly displayed in the hallway at Wilson Intermediate! 🥈 Runner-Up: Sadie Jones, who created an eye-catching display highlighting how e-waste recycling can make a difference. Sadie was awarded $50 for her thoughtful and impactful work! No problem. 📍 No tryouts — anyone can wrestle. 📍 Join any time of year — we encourage you to try it out for a week or two and see if it’s for you! 📍 We have boys & girls teams, and yes — girls wrestling is the fastest-growing sport in the nation. 📍 Just this January, Girls Wrestling was officially voted in as the newest NCAA-sanctioned sport — meaning the first-ever Women’s National Championship will take place in Winter 2026. This sport is growing like wildfire! 🔥 💪 Wrestling is the ONLY high school combat sport, and it builds strength, grit, and confidence — all while helping you earn scholarships for college. 👉 You’ll be paired with others in your weight class — any size, any shape, anyone can wrestle. 🏈 Football players — listen up! 🔍💡 March I Spy Tank Winners – BETA Edition! 💡🔍 Our awesome Wilson BETA students took on the March I Spy Tank challenge, and this time the hunt was all about women inventors! From chocolate chip cookies to lifeboats and Monopoly houses, they searched for creations by brilliant women throughout history. 🎉 Shoutout to Chevy, Isaak, Betsy, Christian, and Elle — each only missed one item! And a huge congrats to Ember, our grand prize winner, who found every single one — including the tricky I Spy Tank-as-an-aquarium! 🐠🧠 Way to go, BETA students! Alternative Bus Routes Update: Bus #4, Bus #46 and Bus #52 Roads have been repaired and cleared for travel. These routes will return to regular stops at their regular time starting Monday morning. Route 60 If you live in Antioch you need to meet at the gravel parking lot at Social Hill Exit, bus stop times 6:50am and 4:10pm. Transportation Department will update this part of Route 60 as soon as the bridge is ready and safe for the bus to travel across it. If you live on Hwy 84 between Loves Gas Station and the Oak Grove Store your bus stop will return to its regular stop at its regular time starting Monday morning.

🎉 Malvern Beta Students Are Making a Difference! 🎉 We are so proud to announce that our 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th/8th grade Beta students have been recognized in the Time for Change Youth Challenge Awards for their incredible service-learning projects! 🌟 💥 A Special Shoutout to Our 4th Grade MES Beta Students 💥 Their project, "Be a Hero, Keep Litters at Zero," was selected as a WINNER in the challenge, earning a $1,000 award to support their cause! 💰🐾 They’re tackling the issue of stray animals in our city by raising awareness and funds for spaying and neutering. They've already raised over $1,200 for Cuddle Babies Rescue, and they’re thrilled to give another $1,000 to help continue this life-saving mission. 💚 🎉 And Congratulations to Our Finalists! 🎉 Each of these amazing groups was awarded $50 to help grow their impact even further: 📚 5th Grade – Book Buddies & Literacy Love Celebrated Read Across America Week by reading Dr. Seuss to residents at The Crossing, sharing homemade “green eggs and ham,” and raising funds for Happi Readers, a charity that brings books to kids around the world. 🌍📖 🎨 6th Grade – Kindness Rocks Spread joy with hand-painted inspirational rocks delivered to our fire and police departments, Cornerstone Daycare, and Malvern City Park. Every child at the daycare even received a custom rock with their name! 💕🎨 💻 7th/8th Grade – Unplugged Potential: E-Waste Awareness Leading a district-wide e-waste recycling drive, these students are working to dispose of old electronics properly and are hosting an E-Waste Art Contest (with prizes sponsored by Optimum) to raise awareness through creativity. 🌱♻️ 👏 We couldn’t be prouder of our students for showing heart, initiative, and leadership. There is absolutely no need to worry — we are fully prepared to ensure everyone has access to safe drinking water throughout the day. 💧 If parents would still like to send a bottle of water with their student, they are welcome to do so. 🚌 If your student’s bus route is affected by downed trees, power lines, flooding, or other issues — and you’re unable to make it to school — please reach out to your building’s administration this week. 🚨 No School – Monday, April 7 🚨 Due to unsafe conditions on several bus routes and an ongoing boil order, Malvern School District will be closed tomorrow, Monday, April 7. We are currently working on a plan to provide safe water access for students and staff on Tuesday and Wednesday. The boil order is expected to be lifted sometime Wednesday. All administrative and central office staff should report to work as they are able and conditions allow.
